Abstract: Digital transformation has become a defining force in higher education, reshaping teaching, learning, and administrative processes (Benavides et al., 2020). As institutions adapt to evolving technological demands, digital literacy emerges as a core competency required for students’ academic and professional success (Carretero et al., 2017). This paper examines the concept of digital literacy within the context of higher education and explores key tools and approaches that support its development. The study discusses learning management systems (LMS), digital collaboration platforms, data literacy tools, and emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality. It concludes with recommendations for institutions on implementing sustainable strategies to foster digital literacy and ensure students are prepared for the digital-first world.
