Abstract:	Because of its strategic location, scientific foundation, highly skilled labor force, and plenty of natural resources, Ukraine has enormous potential for the establishment of a bioeconomy. However, a good scientific understanding of the bioeconomy's development, a legal framework, and efficient, creative methods to promote the application of scientific advancements in production are required in order to bring the principles of the bioeconomy to reality in Ukraine.
