dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to explore the influence of the construction of FUR deletion strains of Shewanella on its biological characteristics. The method of gene knockout and mutation is carried out to target FUR, an iron regulatory factor in Shewanella, with the aim of analyzing the specific role of FUR in iron transport and absorption through gene knockout technology. The results showed that the growth performance of FUR deficient strains under iron metabolism pathway, microbial fuel cell current generation ability and environmental stress was significantly different from that of wild type strains. Further analysis showed that FUR protein plays an important role in regulating the absorption and utilization of iron ions and bioelectrochemical characteristics in Shewanella. The findings of this study provide important references for further understanding the regulatory mechanism of microbial iron metabolism, optimizing the construction of microbial fuel cells, and developing environmentally friendly biotechnology.uk
